Privacy Policy
Introduction
This Privacy Policy sets out how Ship Car Pros collects, uses, and shares information in the operation of our online auto-transport referral service. Ship Car Pros connects consumers with independent auto-transport providers; we do not transport vehicles ourselves. By accessing this site or contacting us about a transport request, you acknowledge the practices described below.
Information We Collect
Information you provide to us
When you reach out to us about a transport request, or otherwise communicate with us, we may collect:
- Contact details you choose to share with us, such as your name, phone number, and email address;
- Information about the vehicle you wish to ship, such as make, model, year, and condition;
- Origin and destination locations and the timeframe you prefer;
- Any other information you voluntarily share with us during the call or by message.
Information collected automatically
When you use our website, we and our service providers may automatically collect technical and usage information, including:
- Device and browser information, such as device type, operating system, browser type, and language settings;
- Internet protocol (IP) address and general location derived from it;
- Pages viewed, time spent, referring website, and similar usage information;
- Cookie and similar-technology identifiers (described below).
How We Use the Information
We use the information described above to:
- Respond to your inquiry and connect you with one or more independent transport providers;
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve our website;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent, abusive, or unlawful activity;
- Comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests; and
- Communicate with you about your request, including by phone, text message, or email, where you have not opted out of that channel.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the site and measure how it is used. The categories may include:
- Strictly necessary: required for the site to function, such as load balancing and security;
- Analytics: help us understand which pages are visited, for how long, and how visitors navigate the site, so we can improve it.
Most modern browsers let you manage or refuse cookies through their settings. If you refuse some cookies, parts of the site may not function as intended. If we make additional categories of cookies or tracking technologies available (for example, advertising or social-media cookies), we will update this section and surface an opt-out mechanism on the site.
How We Share Information
With independent transport providers
When you ask us help with a transport request, we share the request details with one or more independent transport providers in our network so they can quote and, if you choose to engage them, perform the transport. These providers run their own businesses, set their own prices, and handle their own scheduling.
With service providers
We share information with service providers that perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, analytics, telephony and call-routing, customer-support, and fraud-prevention services. These service providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services for us.
For legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, court order, or governmental regulation, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of our users, transport providers, or others. We may also share information in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganisation, or sale of assets.
Ship Car Pros does not sell your personal information for money, and does not currently share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. If that changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide the opt-out mechanism required by applicable law.
Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is fully secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the referral service you requested, to comply with our legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed for those purposes, we delete, anonymise, or de-identify it in accordance with our retention practices and applicable law.
Your Rights
Depending on where you reside, you may have the following rights with respect to personal information we hold about you:
- Access. Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information and a copy of that information.
- Correction. Request that we correct inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion. Request that we delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions (for example, where we are required to retain certain records).
- Portability. Request a copy of certain personal information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing." Direct us not to "sell" or "share" your personal information as those terms are defined under applicable law.
- Opt out of targeted advertising and profiling. Direct us not to use your personal information for targeted advertising, or for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
- Withdraw consent. Withdraw consent to processing where we relied on consent.
- Non-discrimination and appeal. Not be discriminated against for exercising your rights, and, where applicable, appeal a denial of a privacy request.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at (866) 588-8347. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law. If we deny your request, you may appeal that decision by contacting us using the same method.

California residents have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the CCPA). These include the rights described above and, in addition, the right to limit our use of certain "sensitive personal information"; we do not currently process sensitive personal information for purposes that require offering this limit. We process the categories of personal information described in this Policy for the business and commercial purposes described above. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of California residents, and we do not knowingly sell or share personal information of California residents under 16 years of age. To exercise your rights, contact us at (866) 588-8347.
